My boyfriend looks down on me for enjoying reality shows. I don’t know why he thinks he’s so superior — as if watching shows about UFOs is truly any better — but I don’t let it bother me. When I’m having a particularly bad day, like today, The Great British Bake-Off is my go-to. It’s playing in the background right now — just warm, happy vibes.
And I caught my boyfriend watching earlier today. So there’s that. Even to his TV-hardened soul, the cuteness overwhelmed him.
Here’s why I love this show so much.
1. The Music
Watching this show makes you feel as if you’re strolling along in the English countryside, and the music just makes it. The happiness that is infused within the notes is sure to calm the most savage soul, and the transition sounds are like glittery stars falling — all of it is just created to put you in your happiest baking mood.
