From Amateur to Freelancer in 30 Days: Days 4 & 5
Yesterday was a holiday, so I felt like it was alright to take the day off from my goals. I wasn’t feeling great emotionally anyway, and now looking at my habit tracker I’m a bit disappointed in myself.
It was still a nice holiday. I spent the day with my family, drinking and enjoying ourselves in my parent’s backyard. My stepdad grilled up some hot dogs and hamburgers and we gorged ourselves while listening to classic rock on the Bluetooth speaker. I think that that relaxation as a fair trade for the little I got done.
Today is a new day, however. A new day to conquer goals and to find new leads.
So far today I’ve been doing a lot of communicating with one of my clients about the future of our work together: discussing my future role and how I can get the site get more traffic. It was great to be able to share a resource that another client sent me and get a discussion going about future work.
I’m also working on honing in on better ideas in my SEO blog writing. I did a bit of research today on headlines, which I’ve been struggling with for a while now. I know how to write an interesting headline, but it’s tough to combine focus keywords with a good tagline, since the language is usually so stodgy and ungrammatical.
