From Amateur to Freelancer in 30 Days: Day 6 & 7

I had a wedding yesterday, so I planned to wake up early and bang out the rest of my article I didn’t finish the day before. It was a slog, not only because I was trying new things, but I was terrified the client won’t like it.

But I finished it. I’m quite proud of how it turned out — I was able to show every single thing I learned about SEO content writing over the past three weeks in this one article. It was done by noon, and I was free to spend the day with my friends.

I’ve been perusing the job sites, looking for more work. My time doesn’t feel full enough yet to call myself full-time, plus I’d like to make a little bit more money. I was just worried with overloading myself too quickly.

The wedding was fun — a little bit too much if you ask me. I ended up drinking far too much whiskey and didn’t get much of a start on anything else yesterday. Instead, I found myself hanging out with an old coworker and whiling my time away.

The best thing about freelancing, though, is that I can wait until I’m feeling a little bit better to get down to work. I heard back from the aforementioned client earlier today about the article I wrote — and he loved it! He left me some incredible feedback and…
